Congratulations to Brooke King!

She got a world championship in walk/trot trail, a reserve championship in English showmanship and reserve championship in flag race. Fifth in Horsemanship, 4th in barrels, eighth in English equitation, fourth in barrels, and fourth in pole bending. She was also reserve hi-point in the walk/trot division.

Hello Pinto Lovers,

My name is Kaelyn Grant and I am your 2007 Oklahoma Pinto youth president and area youth sector director. I know that this show season is going to be spectacular, with more action and fun even than last season!

I want to thank Misty Olsen and Julie Hunnington, the youth directors. They did a great job last year and good luck again this year. Also my thanks to Maggie Bell, our sector director. Thank you all for the hard work you put into everything to make our club a standout among other clubs.

I want to encourage all the youth to come to our meetings. They are a lot of fun and it gives everyone a chance to get to know one another better. Of course, the food is always great reason to come. We have some wonderful cooks in our club. Meetings are not only a time for socializing but for learning about how our club works and to share your ideas. We would love to hear them. You are the future of Pinto, your ideas matter!

This year will be busy for all of us. You, my fellow youth will surely continue to dominate the show ring. Look for me and my horses, Hollywood Hopeful and Clufection, (better known as Holly and Henry) in the ring as well. Clufection, my red dun overo gelding and I will be competing in halter, overo color, and western showmanship. We are also going to add western pleasure and ideal pinto to our own personal show bill. My black and white tobiano mare, Holly and I will again be competing in the speed events. I want to encourage everyone to stick around a watch the gymkana, it sure is a fun time.

I hope that all the goals you set for yourselves are reached and that all your hard work is rewarded.
